Jetstar Airways
Jetstar Airways is a low-cost airline headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is a subsidiary of Qantas,
created in response to the threat posed by low-cost airline Virgin Blue Airlines. It operates an extensive domestic network
as well as regional and international services.Collectively the Jetstar Group of airlines operate over 1900 weekly flights
to 15 countries, serving in excess of 50 markets across the Asia and Asia Pacific region. Jetstar Group airlines employ
directly 7,000 staff across the Asia Pacific region.Jetstar Asia has also been launched. On 13/Dec/2004 the first flight
took off from Singapore to Hong Kong.
